Logicenters will expand Kitron Sweden’s factory in Jönköping

Logicenters and Kitron Sweden has entered an agreement to expand its property in Jönköping. The new part of the building will be approximately 6000 m². Kitron will have a total area of approximately 14000 m² by the second half of 2025.

“The activity level is high at the Jönköping factory, and we see growth in relevant market sectors in the coming years. In order to handle the expected growth, we need more capacity, and the expansion is the answer to this need. I and the rest of the team really look forward to this process being completed”, says Stefan Hansson Mutas, Managing Director of Kitron Sweden.

The expansion of the factory will add approximately 6000 m² and will be completed during the second half of 2025. After the expansion, Kitron will have approximately 14000 m² available for production in Jönköping.

Logicenters is building a large terminal for Bring in Vaggeryd

Logicenters will develop one of Bring’s largest terminals in the Nordic region. The modern facility is expected to be completed in early 2025 in Stigamo, just south of Jönköping, along the E4 highway.

Logicenters continues to expand in Jönköping through the new agreement with the delivery company Bring. In southern Stigamo, a 32,000 m² terminal with smart technology and advanced sorting facilities will be built on the 125,000 m² plot of land.

With our state-of-the-art, and environmentally friendly property, we will create a good working environment and efficient handling that supports Bring’s continued development”, says Fredrik Nygren, Commercial Manager at Logicenters.

Bring is one of the largest logistics operators with a strong presence throughout the Nordic region. The new property, with the possibility of further expansion, will be the company’s largest terminal in Sweden, with the capacity to handle three times as many packages as the current facility in Jönköping.

”The terminal in Jönköping is the hub of our Swedish operations. In order to continue growing, we need to increase our capacity in Jönköping with a new terminal. The new terminal will be our largest in Sweden”, says Hanna Jonasson, Director of Operations at Bring Sweden.

The new property will be developed with modern technology and adapted to meet Logicenters’ and Bring’s high standards for low energy consumption. Among other things, solar panels will be installed on the roof, and it will be prepared with more charging stations than any other of Bring’s terminals in Sweden.

”We are preparing to use many more electric vehicles than we currently have. In two years, all our deliveries in Sweden will be fossil-free, so the new terminal will have more charging points than any other terminal we have in Sweden”, says Hanna Jonasson.

The property is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025, and the site has space for expansion in the future.

“First and foremost, we welcome Bring to Vaggeryd Municipality. It is a strong company and brand that is now establishing a terminal with us. With this establishment, we further strengthen our position as a logistical hub in Sweden“, says Gert Jonsson, Chairman of the Municipal Board in Vaggeryd Municipality.

Logicenters continues its major investment in solar energy

Logicenters is continuing its major investment in solar energy by signing an agreement to install solar cells at a further nine of its facilities. In total, the company has installed solar cells with an expected annual production of 30 GWh – equivalent to household electricity for the whole of Mora.

In April, it was announced that Logicenters had begun construction of the Nordic region’s largest rooftop solar cell plant in Bålsta. This project is in line with the ambitions of Logicenters and NREP to lead development of a carbon-neutral property sector, reaching net zero as early as 2028.

The investment on renewable energy has grown during the autumn and the logistics property company has now signed an agreement to build solar cell plants at a further nine of its facilities. The new installations are expected to generate a total of 2.6 GWh per year, equivalent to electricity for around 520 households.

“As customers today look at their supply chain, we cannot ignore the impact on our environment. The carbon footprint of the property sector is too large to ignore. Sustainable construction, with a major investment in renewable energy, is our most important journey as a company. We at Logicenters really want to lead the way, showing what is possible,” says Matthias Kettelhoit, CEO at Logicenters.

Logicenters is currently active in a total of five countries where it has installed solar cells with predicted annual generation of 30 GWh, enough to supply electricity to the entire city of Mora (6000 households). A figure that is constantly increasing.

“In addition to being climate-smart, solar energy is almost always profitable in relation to the lifetime of the panels. How quickly they pay for themselves depends on the cost of installation, which has risen in the wake of the energy crisis, and on the price of electricity, which is also on a steep upward trend. However, those who invest in solar cells get a fixed predictable electricity price which is appreciated,” says Jon Malmsten, solar energy expert at Logicenters.

All of the new solar cell plants are scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2023.

Logicenters signs lease with Padel United in Jönköping

One of Sweden’s largest padel organisations is now moving into Logicenters’ facility in Torsvik, Jönköping. Padel United has signed a long-term lease with the logistics property company. The lease is a for a 45 000 m² facility where Padel United rents an area of a total 6,000 m². The tenant is expected to move in by the end of 2021.

Logicenters is continuing to strengthen its presence in the Jönköping region. In the summer of 2021, the logistics property company signed a lease with Padel United. The long-term lease is for a 45,000 m² logistics area where Padel United rents an area of a total 6,000 m² located at Möbelvägen 7 in Torsvik, Jönköping. In line with Logicenters’ other new developments, the property will have a clear environmental focus and the facility will be prepared for the installation of solar cells on the roof.

“We are delighted to welcome Padel United to its new facility in Jönköping at the end of 2021. The region is one of the country’s most important logistics hubs and we are proud to further strengthen our presence in Torsvik. Our modern properties were in line with the tenant’s wishes, so we saw potential to develop our partnership with Padel United. During this process, it also became clear that we share the same focus on environmental issues and a great deal of thought has been put into achieving Padel United’s sustainability goals,” says Fredrik Nygren, Commercial Manager at Logicenters.

Before Padel United moves in, the logistics facility will be further equipped to meet the tenant’s needs. The facility will be fitted out with 14 padel courts, with both single and centre courts. Logicenters will also install a sauna overlooking the courts.

So far, Logicenters has catered to all our needs and during this process we have put a great deal of energy into everything from soundproofing to ventilation with the aim of creating the most open and comfortable environment possible for all padel players. Logicenters strengthens its presence in Jönköping

Logicenters is now to expand its presence in Jönköping by developing a new logistics facility in Torsvik. The property is estimated to be 32,400 m² in size. The development is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2020 and is expected to be completed in early 2021.

Having developed a number of logistics properties in Jönköping, Logicenters is continuing to strengthen its presence in the region. This 32,400 m²logistics facility will be located on Möbelvägen in Torsvik. The property is to be built on speculation and must therefore be developed to suit both a single tenant as well as several different ones. The development is scheduled to begin in March and is expected to be completed in early 2021. As with Logicenters’ other new developments, the property will have a clear environmental profile and will be prepared for the installation of solar cells on the roof.

“This development will further strengthen our business offering and will enable us to meet customers who value rapid access to logistics properties, something that we notice is in increasing demand. We see tremendous potential in the area and are therefore very pleased to strengthen our presence in Torsvik. Logicenters has been active in the Jönköping region for many years. The company’s tenants in the area include Babyshop, Bring and Kitron. The new development will take place on an attractive site in the area, near IKEA and Elgiganten, and directly adjacent to the property where Kitron is the tenant.

AD Sverige expanding with Logicenters and Qvana Invest

Logicenters and Qvana Invest are jointly developing another logistics facility at the Stigamo Logistics Park, Jönköping. The tenant will be a company within AD Sverige which is already leasing Logicenters’ neighbouring property and is now seeking to expand to another facility. Moving in to the 25,000 m² facility is scheduled for the end of 2020.

Logicenters is continuing to consolidate its presence at important logistics hubs. The company is now cooperating with Qvana Invest to once again develop a logistics property at the Stigamo Logistics Park, south of Jönköping. The new development will be a detached building measuring approximately 25,000 m². It will be constructed in connection with an already existing facility currently leased by AD Sweden at the Stigamo Logistics Park. A subsidiary of AD Sverige will become the tenant at the new property, thereby expanding its presence in the area, as Logicenters is doing.

Stigamo Logistics Park has an ideal strategic location for logistics and the selected site is among the best in the area with clear visibility from the passing E4 motorway. The building has been designed in accordance with our standard model for modern logistics facilities and we are also planning to be able to install solar panels on the roof in line with our focus on sustainability,” says Matthias Kettelhoit, Head of Logicenters.

The new facility is strategically located on Norra Stigamovägen and is being built as per Logicenters’ standard specification adapted for modern logistics operations. The property is being prepared in line with Logicenters’ strong focus on sustainability, including the installation of solar cells on the roof.
