Logicenters invests heavily in Kallhäll – acquires 86,737 m2 of land

Logicenters has signed an agreement with ICA Fastigheter AB for the acquisition of land in Kallhäll, just over twenty kilometres from central Stockholm. In the area, the company will build a state-of-the-art facility totalling 53,050 m2 and scheduled for completion in the autumn of 2024.

In April, Logicenters announced that it is building the Nordic region’s largest rooftop solar farm in Bålsta. The logistics property company is now continuing its major investment in the Stockholm area

with the acquisition of land from ICA Fastigheter AB in Kallhäll. The new acquisition is located in one of Stockholm’s most attractive logistics areas Kallhäll, just 20 minutes from the heart of the capital. Logicenters is planning the speculative construction of a state-of-the-art facility with a total area of 53,050 m2 close to Slammertorpsvägen.

Building is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2024. Logicenters intends that the facility will have environmental certification of at least the BREEAM Very Good standard and is also planning to install solar plants on the roofs.

“Having the opportunity to continue our development in Kallhäll, which with its geographical proximity to Stockholm is huge for us. It is one of Stockholm’s best areas for logistics. This acquisition has given us access to a unique piece of land and an opportunity to create something truly unique for the future. As we have previously made several acquisitions in the area, we will also be able to support the business community in the Stockholm region with the provision of a huge area of logistics space in the coming years,” says Matthias Kettelhoit, CEO at Logicenters.

With its proximity to the E18 and Arlanda Airport, Kallhäll is an excellent hub for modern logistics and last-mile deliveries with its excellent transport links, primarily to Stockholm but also to the rest of Sweden and the Nordic region. Other major companies in the area include ICA, Arla, Dahl and DS Smith Packaging.
