Following last week’s announcement that Logicenters is acquiring land in Nykvarn from Veidekke, its investment in the area is continuing. The logistics property company has signed an agreement with transport company MTAB tour logistics for the development of a logistics facility in Almnäs just outside Södertälje. The property will have an area of 11,150 m2 and be a logistics warehouse for MTAB’s customers in theatre and performing arts, tv/broadcast and events.
”We are happy to secure a longterm partnership with Logicenters to secure our growth in combination with the property living up to our high standards for sustainability”, says Stefan Fors, founder of the MTAB Group. ”Today we are the largest logistics company in our particular niche and we are continuing to grow. Stockholm Syd is therefore a strategically located position for us, from where we can provide daily service to the capital region, and effectively reach to mid and south Sweden as well as Europe”.
In line with Logicenters’ high sustainability goals, the new property in Almnäs will have the environmental certification BREEAM Excellent and Noll CO2. Solar cells will also be installed on the roof of the property.

The municipality of Södertälje is also positive about the newly signed agreement, which will provide jobs for the town’s residents.
“We find the establishment of MTAB in Almnäs very exciting. Generating around 50 jobs, it focuses on logistics in a fantastic strategic location along the E20. The cooperation with Logicenters has been very successful and we are happy to be doing it again,” says Michael Johansson, establishment strategist at Södertälje Municipality.
