Following its launch into Poland, Logicenters is now beginning the expansion of its logistics facility in Wroclaw, Poland. The expansion will add 22,500 m2 of space and the new section is scheduled for completion in the last quarter of 2022.
In the summer of 2021, the logistics property company announced its intention to expand its presence outside the Nordic region with its first venture in Poland. As a first step, Logicenters acquired the Polish company BIK SA and its current portfolio, with the total logistics space estimated to be more than 115,000 m2.
Logicenters is now beginning the expansion at Nowa Wies Wroclawska in Wroclaw, south-west Poland. The expansion will add a total of 22,500 m2 space. Atlas Ward has been chosen as General Contractor, and the project is being developed on speculative basis due to the leasing dynamics in the Wroclaw market. In line with Logicenters’ sustainability profile, the expansion of the property in Wroclaw will be of a high standard with careful selection of materials used for the construction.
“We are delighted that construction is finally under way for our facility in Wroclaw. Our goal is, and always has been, to develop high quality, sustainable buildings of the future. The Polish logistics market offers huge potential, which is one of the key reasons why we have chosen to establish operations here. I believe that Wroclaw will continue to be an important location for growth and for expanding our presence outside the Nordic region,” says Søren Rodian Olsen, CEO, Logicenters Poland.
Wroclaw is in a strategically important location with a high population density, large factory clusters and easy access to the E4 European motorway.
“The demand for modern warehouse spaces remains at a very high level today. At the same time, we see a great demand for facilities that are available immediately. That is why we are starting an investment that we are implementing on a speculative basis. We are also negotiating with potential tenants. We are convinced that we will manage to commercialize the entire facility the following periods. The great advantage of our investment is that the location is close to the Wroclaw agglomeration and in the immediate vicinity of the motorway – ensuring quick and convenient access,” says Krzysztof Mucha, Business Development Manager, Biuro Inwestycji Kapitalowych S.A.
